Service Terms & Parts Policy
Clear, straightforward business terms. No surprise fees, no hidden fine print.
1. Mobile Repair & Diagnostic Authorization
By submitting an appointment request online or by phone, you authorize Pit Crew Mobile Mechanic to perform mobile diagnostic inspections, scheduled maintenance, and agreed-upon mechanical repairs on the designated vehicle at your residence, workplace, or agreed location.
Prior to beginning any wrench-turning or parts replacement beyond the requested service, I will review findings with you, explain the work required, and obtain your explicit written approval (text reply or signed estimate).
2. Transparent Base Pricing & Parts Policy
My advertised base prices cover standard labor and premium replacement parts/fluids for standard domestic and Asian passenger vehicles (e.g. Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai).
European makes (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Land Rover), heavy-duty diesels, and vehicles requiring specialized OEM fluids or oversized capacities (e.g., engines requiring over 5 quarts of synthetic oil) are billed strictly at the actual supplier cost difference for the required parts or fluids. I will disclose and approve this difference with you before work begins.
Special Order Parts: Non-stock, dealer-only, or vehicle-specific special order parts must be approved in writing and are nonrefundable once ordered from the supplier.
3. Payment Terms
Payment is due immediately upon completion of the authorized repair work and customer inspection. I accept major credit/debit cards, electronic transfers (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zelle), and cash. I do not charge upfront booking deposits.
4. 12-Month / 12,000-Mile Limited Warranty
Pit Crew Mobile Mechanic stands behind my workmanship. Qualifying repairs and installed parts are backed by a 12-Month or 12,000-Mile limited warranty (whichever occurs first) from the date of service against defects in materials and mechanical workmanship under normal vehicle operation.
Warranty Exclusions: Does not cover commercial fleet abuse, track/racing usage, customer-supplied parts, pre-existing structural rust/damage, or unrelated mechanical failures.
5. Site Access & Safety Requirements
To perform mobile repairs safely, the vehicle must be parked on a reasonably level, solid surface (concrete driveway, asphalt parking space, or garage) with adequate working space around the vehicle. I reserve the right to decline or reschedule service if on-site conditions (e.g., steep incline, soft mud/gravel, unsafe traffic corridor) present an unsafe working environment.
6. Cancellations, No-Shows & Trip Charge
Life happens. If you need to reschedule or cancel your mobile service window, please notify me by call or text at (210) 570-5771 at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled arrival window. A $50 trip charge applies for cancellations made after I arrive on site or in the event of a customer no-show.
